How to fix editor freezing after code change? (during build)

Make any change in a .cs script

Go to the editor. Notice the little wheel on the lower right starts spinning. It usually takes 4-5 seconds for the build to finish (I guess that's what it's doing)

After it spins for 2 seconds, time in which the editor is usable, the editor freezes for the rest of 3 seconds and is unusable.
