ReWired licensing: license-per-seat or license-per-person-using?

Hello,

We're thinking of buying ReWired, but have been caught up in Unity's licensing wording. This question can apply to any "editor extension", too.

Unity's EULA says that for assets categorized as "Editor Extensions" (which doesn't seem to exist as a category anymore), you must buy one license per seat. It says that it's prohibited to install the extension on multilple computers without additional licenses.

RyanC explains here: https://forum.unity.com/threads/solved-how-does-asset-licenses-work-with-collaborate.488247/ that you could ignore the actual asset files, and only share the product of using them with your team. ReWired, however, is only partly an editor extension. It also seems to be very helpful in scripting controller vibrations, key-binding, etc. This means that you cannot just put all ReWired files in your .gitignore and call it done, the asset is useless without its in-game scripts.

So, which one is it, one license per seat in company (e.g. how many people the files would be shared with during the game dev process) or one license per person actually using the asset (1-2). Again, remember that the asset would only be used on 1 or 2 computers, not all of them, but it is still required for in-game functionality too.

@ImproxGames Did you find any real answer on this matter? It's true that Unity's EULA are quite unclear. I would like to use this asset too but I don't want to pay for every person in my $$anonymous$$m if only 1-2 are using it.
