first person controller null reference

Question

I am getting this error in FirstPersonControl.js at this line:

 var movement = thisTransform.TransformDirection( Vector3( moveTouchPad.position.x, 0, moveTouchPad.position.y ) );

I used a prefab, and when I press play, I cannot control the user. I am running on a PC, and wonder if this is a conflict with dual touch pad?

This error is caused by thisTransform or moveTouchPad not yet initialized - they "born" with null values, and if you don't assign anything to any of them you get this error. If you can't find the problem, post the rest of the code in your question.
