Linux standalone not working

Hello, I'm having an issue with trying to build a standalone for Linux. I can't seem to find any information on this on the internet either. Throughout numerous attempts at different strategies, my friend and I seem to always come back to this error:

I'm new to Linux, and even after over 3 hours of reading and trying to find anything useful online, I can't seem to figure out what is going on here. I'm not sure if it something with how I'm building the game or not, but we have had other errors as well. Those eventually go away and this one always come back up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S.: My friend is running Linux Mint 19 xfce
