Movement like in Color Road

Question

Basically that movement that a lot of popular games use where you just touch slide the object to the left and right. I want to be able to touch anywhere on the screen and slide it. Also for it not to just teleport right or left when you touch.

In the video he shows how to touch the screen and have the object move towards that side. What I need is to move the object with touch, basically slide the object with touch..

It works but it moves the object in all directions. I just need to move it left and right and I do not know how to do that..
