how to get my game Object to move towards my target

Hi, I'm trying to get my rocket to fire and move towards my target however when I press fire it just drops strait down facing my target.

here is the script i have attached to my projectile. public class psm : MonoBehaviour {

     public GameObject target;
     public float velocity = 30f;
     private void Start()
     {
         target = GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag("pigeon");
         if (target != null)
         {
             transform.position = Vector3.MoveTowards(transform.position, target.transform.position, 3f);
             transform.LookAt(target.transform.position);
             
         }
         else
         {
             target = GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag("pigeon");
         }
 
 
         
     }
 }

and here is the script instantiating my rocket

 if(psmout == false)
                 {
                     Rigidbody clonedpsmrocket;
                     clonedpsmrocket = Instantiate(psmrocket, psmlaunchpoint.transform.position,psmlaunchpoint.transform.rotation) as Rigidbody;
                     clonedpsmrocket.velocity = psmlaunchpoint.transform.TransformDirection(Vector3.forward * rrocketvelocity);
                     psmout = true;
                      
                     StartCoroutine(psmreloadUI());
 
                 }
