Unity Shader "View Direction" understanding shaders programming

I start writing shaders and it's confusing and strange for me. I'm looking at an online course on "Rim Effect", and I don't understand the "viewDir" function, from "Struct input" , but he does not explain its meaning and in Built in Shaders of the Unit it is not so specific for me.

I want to know where their value comes from, what exactly is "viewDir".

I discovered it, I'm sorry, I'm a noob shader programmer :(. For those who want to know what it is, viewDir is the distance between the position of the camera and each vertex of the model.

Not only the distance, it is also taken to know the rotation and to know where the camera is facing. So now we know where the camera position and rotation is.

That's what I understand, if someone can correct me, I'll thank them.
