Multiple moving platforms with parenting not working

So I used the double collider parenting method:

public GameObject Player;

 private void OnTriggerEnter(Collider other)
 {
         Player.transform.parent = transform;
 }

 private void OnTriggerExit(Collider other)
 {
         Player.transform.parent = null;
 }

So I made a moving platform with the double collider method, which partners the player to the second collider as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO19dA2jksk

However the first platform works fine but even if I duplicate it, the player falls straight off the second one, is there any way to fixing this or is this one of the implicit problems of using the partner method? Thanks in advance for your help.

There actually should be no problem... Is your player variable set in the inspector? And make sure you have one of the colliders as not trigger

This ended up working fine in editor but when I run the game the character still slips off. The player variable is set and one of the colliders is not a trigger. Also on later iterations of platforms using the same exact code the character became unable to jump off of the platforms. That may be a ray check problm so I just rolled with it. But unfortunately there seems to be a discrepancy between the build of the game and me playing the game in editor.
