Anima2D Skinmesh squashing and stretching

First time working with Anima2D, i start to bind my objects to their bones and everything goes well but when i animate, the bones stretch which causes my sprite to stretch. i’m guessing its because i scaled my bones like initially but i cant be sure at this point any input in appreciated.

I use anima2D more than most people and thus far I’ve never seen bones stretching. Hooray, you win! However I strongly strongly strongly advise you to watch ALL of the anima2D tutorial videos on youtube. Pick a very simple object or series of objects as your first victim. It took me several tries to rig the first few times, too.

I would ask all Anima2D related questions on their dedicated forum- the original creator still replies although Unity bought it. You won’t find much help for it here.
