How to use UnityWebRequestTexture.GetTexture

I want to download and use images directly from the net. I found the latest convenience function UnityWebRequestTexture.GetTexture, but I don't understand how I can get the texture as a return value from the code in the example.

Here the page I refer to: UnityWebRequestTexture.GetTexture

The Error is that for Iterators there are no ref or out parameters allowed.

     private void GetTextureFromURL(string url, ref Texture texture)
     {
         using (UnityWebRequest uwr = UnityWebRequestTexture.GetTexture(url))
         {
             yield return uwr.SendWebRequest();

             if (uwr.isNetworkError || uwr.isHttpError)
             {
                 Debug.Log(uwr.error);
             }
             else
             {
                 // Get downloaded asset bundle
                 texture = DownloadHandlerTexture.GetContent(uwr);
             }
         }
     }

I tried it a second way by iterating in an external function, but that does not give me anything back, the HandleWWW Function does not return anything.

     private void getImageAsTexture(string url, ref Texture texture)
     {
         using (UnityWebRequest uwr = UnityWebRequestTexture.GetTexture(url))
         {
             HandleWWWAsync(uwr.SendWebRequest());

             if (uwr.isNetworkError || uwr.isHttpError)
             {
                 Debug.Log(uwr.error);
             }
             else
             {
                 // Get downloaded asset bundle
                 texture = DownloadHandlerTexture.GetContent(uwr);
             }

         }

     private IEnumerator HandleWWWAsync(UnityWebRequestAsyncOperation theWWW)
     {
         // pre-www actions //
         while (!theWWW.isDone)
         {
             // meanwhile //
         }
         yield return theWWW;
         // post-www actions //
     }
