How do i access HDRP Volume on a gameobject ?

Hello :) First time writing here :O

I have this issue: I am trying to access the weight variable to reduce a postprocessing effect over time in an attached script:

using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using UnityEngine;

public class PostEffectsOverTime : MonoBehaviour { private bool shouldLerp = false;

 private float timeStartedLerping;
 public float lerpTime;

 public float endValue;
 public float startValue;

 public float value = 1;

 public GameObject heheh;

 private void StartLerping()
 {
     timeStartedLerping = Time.time;

     shouldLerp = true;

 }

 void Start ()
 {
     StartLerping();
     heheh.GetComponent<Volume>().Rendering.Volume.weight = 1;
 }

 void Update()
 {
    if(shouldLerp)
     {
         value = Lerp(startValue, endValue, timeStartedLerping, lerpTime);
         Debug.Log(value);
     }
 }

 public float Lerp(float start, float end, float timeStartedLerping, float lerpTime = 1)
 {
     float timeSinceStarted = Time.time - timeStartedLerping;

     float percentageComplete = timeSinceStarted / lerpTime;

     float result = Mathf.Lerp(start, end, percentageComplete);

     return result;

How do I do this? I just can't find a way to access it... I have tried coding directly in the Volume script but it defaults everytime i reopen the project...
