OnApplicationQuit not working on android

Hello, I've implemented an OnApplicationQuit method in one of my monobehaviours , and it works perfectly in unity editor , but when i build it to my android device , it suddenly doesn't work anymore , it seems like it's not being called at all? I'm quitting by dismissing all running applications.
