how to mark texture as readable from script

Hi, I need to access pixel data to my texture and I wrote a script that automatically mark them as readable. code is the following :

foreach (Texture2D clip in clips) { Texture2D texture = clip; string path = AssetDatabase.GetAssetPath(texture); Debug.Log(path); if (File.Exists(path)) { TextureImporter textureImporter = (TextureImporter)AssetImporter.GetAtPath(path);

             AssetDatabase.StartAssetEditing();
             TextureImporterSettings setting =  new TextureImporterSettings() ;
             textureImporter.ReadTextureSettings(setting);
             textureImporter.textureType = TextureImporterType.Advanced;
             textureImporter.isReadable = true;
             setting.readable = true;
             textureImporter.SetTextureSettings(setting);
             setting.ApplyTextureType(TextureImporterType.Advanced, true);
             texture = AssetDatabase.LoadAssetAtPath(path, typeof(Texture2D)) as Texture2D;
             AssetDatabase.Refresh();
             AssetDatabase.StopAssetEditing();
             //texture.
             Color32[] colors = texture.GetPixels32();
 }

when i check the inspector i see that "Read Allowed" attribute is on but sometimes the "is Readable" attribute is off... if i click the "apply" button on the inspector "is Readable" turn on!
