HingeJoint2D going out of limits

I am currently working on a sail boat simulator prototype in 2D. When I rotate my boat in a certain position, the sail goes crazy, does 3 flips around it's anchor point and then kinda go back to behave normally until I rotate the boat again.


I am using a hinge joint to control the rotation of the sail in reaction to the wind and boat orientation. At each update I apply the force of the wind on the sail which tends to be parralel to the wind. The inicial position of my boat is facing up with the sail perpendicular to it at it's right.

The problem I described only happend when the sail goes in the left quarter of the semi-circle. This is when the boat is pointing south, south-east. The sail will quickly rotate throught the upper semi-circle going from left to right and this, enventually, multiple times.

I just wanted to know if there was a way to block this rotation. Thanks!


EDIT : I removed the force of the wind on the sail, it appears the problem is due to the rotation of the boat. When I do a clockWise rotation, the same weird rotation happends when the nose of the boat is oriented south, south-east. I tried to manually block this rotation :

 if (eulerAngle < 179 && eulerAngle > 1)
         {
             aux.z = 180;
             gameObject.transform.localEulerAngles = aux;
         }

But what happens is that the anchor of the hingeJoint breaks and the sail goes away.
