How to add a opposite force of current direction

I've been thinking how to ad a force to a object (a car) so when the brake button is pressed to exert a force in the opposite direction at the back of the object . Please some ideas alt text

There is everything about force using a rigidbody, now all you need is the opposite direction of what the vehicle is facing. so -transform.forward.

     rigidbody.AddForce(-rigidbody.velocity.normalized * brakeconstant)
 }
