Does UnityEngine.Ping currently support ipv6 addresses on mobile devices?

I would like to know if UnityEngine.Ping currently supports ipv6 addresses on mobile.

We have tried to connect to an iPV6 ip with UnityEngine.Ping, but we got stuck, similar to the user in this thread: https://forum.unity.com/threads/ping-a-domain-name-or-ipv6-address.952850/

According to the issuetracker (https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/unityengine-dot-ping-does-not-work-with-ipv6-addresses?_ga=2.154805048.166953721.1603191023-977017610.1515506692), it has been supported in 5.4.1, but it still doesn't work it 2018.4
