Object gets Instantiated more than 1 time in OnCollisionEnter()

using UnityEngine; public class destructionObstacle : MonoBehaviour { public GameObject remains; void OnCollisionEnter (Collision coll) { if(coll.collider.tag == "Player") { Instantiate(remains, transform.position, transform.rotation); Destroy(gameObject); } } } The object that is supposed to be instantiated in place if the other one, is placed many times and my game ends up crashing.

Did you try checking if OnCollisionEnter is called more times than you expect it too?

Hello! without more context is hard to tell, but maybe the remains gameobject also has attached this destructionObstacle script and exactly when you instantiate the gameobject it collides again and instantiate a new one...?
