Why is this happening

if (Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Mouse0)) { rb.AddRelativeForce(-transform.right * -force);

     }

I have an object that rotates based on the mouse and it works well, what this is, it's supposed to add force to the player in the opposite direction which is supposed to have a recoil effect which the player can use to their advantage, it works well when I try to go up and down but when I try to go to the left or right, my player just inches a little bit to the right.
