Importing fbx with both skeletal and rigid body data

Dear all,

I am very new to Unity and scripting in C#.

I am trying to figure out the following problem:

I have an fbx containing motion capture data. It contains both skeletal data and data of 2 rigid bodies (the person in the mocap recording is manipulating 2 tracked objects). I would like to animate both the skeletal data and the rigid bodies, and I would also like to use the data of the rigid bodies to provide some kind of feedback in the Unity environment (e.g. a changing background color controlled by the distance between the rigid bodies).

I managed to import and animate the skeletal data, and the rigid bodies are visible in the inspector. However, I did not find a way to make an animator controller using just the rigid body data, and I also did not find a way to access the transform of the rigid bodies.

Is this possible in Unity? And if so, can somebody explain how to animate both the human and the rigid bodies, and how I can access the raw rigid body data in unity?
