Can't erase grass while editing terrain

I am using terrain tools preview and unity 2020.3.13f. Every time i hold s$$anonymous$$ft and then click to erase not$$anonymous$$ng happens and I even have the same detail selected.I must be missing somet$$anonymous$$ng?
