Indi Version create own Glow Shader?

Becouse the built in Glow Shader is only supported in the Pro Version.

Is it possible to build an own Glow shader from scratch?

Any of the Post-Image Processing effects like Glow are only supported with Unity Pro and therefore even writing a custom glow effect shader wouldn't give you any result as the entire pass is left out in the free version of Unity.

Cheers,

If you REALLY need something like that you may try to fake it with an additional mesh with "additional" particles material... if possible. Sure it'll not have the same quality, blur etc. but you'll have somewhat similar effect.

That's the reason it's an Indie version. It is a limited free version. So no, not really.

I know why an indie version is called indie version. But it also could be that the pro version only gives you more pre-build comfortable solutions which are not give away with the indie version. And my question was, using the basic shader functions to create a similar effect. Not to copy the Pro Version one.

That answer isn't at all helpful and does not explain anything.

@equalsequals, Well, it does answer the question. Your answer is better, but let's not be hateful please.

Sorry if my answer came off as offensive, I didn't mean it like that.
