"Unity can't be installed on this disk. The contents of this disk can't be changed".

So I am trying to reinstall my Unity (I'm using version 2017.4.9f on Mac) because I want to get windows build support and I've finally found the install and I get this message.

What's the problem?

to me it looks like a permision problem, I would try running the installer as a super user

It doesn't work. Tried switching user says the same thing. Trying to install offline just gives you "Failed to download the installer configuration. The Internet connection appears to be offline." This is really frustrating all I want is Windows build support and apparently this is the only way to do it.

You don't need to reinstall the version to download windows build support, it should be available using unity hub
