Vector2's and Parenting

Hi, so I'm working on a shoot em up, and I'm currently working on the main ship now.

The "BrutusBulwarkOrb" is bound to the main ship called the Argo, and below is the script that I am using to move said Bulwark Orb:

    BulwarkUp = Input.GetKey(KeyCode.K);
 
 
 
         if (BulwarkUp)
         {
             transform.position = new Vector2(0.66f, 0.1f);
 
         }
         else
         {
             transform.position = new Vector2(0, 0);
         }
 
        However, when I test the game, the BulwarkOrb stays in place while the ship moves on it's own. (Argo is in the top right, Bulwark Orb in the middle)

Is this an issue I need to fix by not using Vector2's, or do I just need to fix the code so it will stay parented to the ship?

The position property sets the objects worldspace position. You want to use localPosition instead which sets the position of the object inside the local space of the parent.
