Unity is Getting slow since i changed its path.

Hello Everyone. Last month i changed the path of my unity folder from c to D drive. Since then it has been working a bit slow , like it takes some time in opening, in compilation of script and more. I think changing the drive is the problem. Should i change it back to C or is it any other problem?

Hi,

This really depends on your PC. Often PCs have fast SSD (Solid State Drive) as a C Disk as this helps fast Operating System and main programs loading and additional slower HDD (Hard Disk Drive) as D Disk (disk letters may differ in different systems) for storage.

If that’s the case with your PC - moving Unity to slower D Disk may definitely impact it’s performance and moving it back to C Disk should fix it.
