I cant delete the correct instance or at least it wont work

Hello, so im quite new to unity but not coding I have about 8 years of experience and im finally learning games for a client

However, I cannot get this working so if someone could tell me how to go about this that would be amazing. Basically its a prompter that checks when they collide with a box and prompts a little textbox above the npc to show that the npc has a quest .

and if anyone is curious i have a prefab to store all players because I plan to make this multiplayer
