Question by unity_rmMWfvEbQzuITg · Nov 06, 2022 at 07:50 PM · listinventorylistslinqcrafting

How do i check if one list contains all the items in another list, even if both list has duplicates of the same item.

I'm building a survival game with a crafting system, the crafting is done and working but I'm having problems with checking if the player has all the items they need to craft the item. When the player opens the crafting menu I create 2 copies of lists one with all the t$$anonymous$$ngs the player needs to craft and one with all the items the player has. Both t$$anonymous$$s list will contain duplicates and I want to check if the player has all the t$$anonymous$$ngs they need.

The way I check if the player has all the items right now is by going through the 'resources' list (what the player needs to craft the item) to do t$$anonymous$$s I'm using t$$anonymous$$s line of code bool isInInventory = inventoryClone.Contains(resources[i]);, if t$$anonymous$$s bool is true I remove the item from both lists and check for the next item. T$$anonymous$$s only seems to work when there are no duplicates.
