can't get assets from shop?

Just started trying to use unity and i'm already stuck D: doing the FPS microgame and it made me go to the asset store and add the food pack asset then click open in unity and it opens the package manager and says I have no assets, it also says "error refres$$anonymous$$ng assets, see console." at the bottom so i'm not sure what i'm supposed to do
