Java Calendar Class in Unity

I need to implement a calendar that knows the specific days of the week for a month in a given year (i.e. December 11, 2011 is a Sunday).

Java has a calendar class that works for me, but how do I get it into Unity?

When in doubt, do searches that start with .Net:

Examples:

 .net calendar class
 .net string.replace
 .net write to file

Thankfully, Microsoft's shameless java ripoff C# also has a calendar class!

So, just use that one (since Unity uses C# as one of it's scripting languages).

Funny you put it that way...

I came to Unity from Java Land and have been blown away by how similar C# is.

As far as I can tell it's the same language with uglier documentation and syntax.

ah, so is the calendar class included in the unity API already, so that I just need to add "using System.Globalization" to my function in order to access it?

That's usually how it works.

Add the code to your project. If it complains about not recognizing it, you import the Namespace listed at the top of the page.

Another good Resource I've come across is this thread Calendar GUI Answered by Nicolaj Schweitz
