What are you trying to do with it?

I want the user to be able to draw on the screen for personal notes, to $$anonymous$$ch others, etc... So basically when they press and hold the mouse, they begin drawing a line wherever the mouse goes.

You want to program Photoshop in Unity right !

As far as I know there is really NO built-in support in Unity to speak of for handling that type of thing, 3D drawing. (It would essentially be "drawing on textures" ... I guess?)

It does same to be "incredibly not" what unity is designed for you know? It would be like trying to make a first person physics shooter in Photoshop :-)

You should be able to integrate this effect using some procedural mesh builder code. Then track each stroke in a library if you need history erase, and track collisions as needed based on positional range from vertices.
