Question by FearMePanda · Feb 01, 2012 at 01:03 PM · c#arraysassets

loading multiple assets into an array

Hey,

I'm trying to place multiple assets into an array so I can combine it with my NPC array.

problem is I can't seem to find a way to load my asset files into the array. The assets need to be loaded from the asset list and not from the scene.

any suggestions??

the code is in c#.

Unless your assets are in the resources directory or in the scene, they will not be available for loading.

have it in a folder called Resources and i can see it in my asset list

i'm trying to put 2 textfiles into an array and if i add a textfile it should add that one automatically.

drag and drop takes way to long when you get like 40 npc's ingame.

I recently used a text file to load a tab delimited excel spreadsheet. It contained filenames in a resources directory of audio clips. I iterated through that to assign them to objects.

However, it is not easy to answer your question without seeing the code that you're trying to use to load into the array.
