Question by Mishaps · Feb 16, 2012 at 02:26 AM · monodevelopzoomshortcut

Stop MonoDevelop zooming in text size?

Anyone else have this unexpected text zooming-in with MonoDevelop when you hold CMD and scroll with two fingers on a trackpad?

Happens to me all the time when I save too quickly after scrolling with two fingers.

Anyone know how to disable this feature?

$$anonymous$$indly post a feedback if you've got a handle on monodevelop's mouse control.

I don't know about a mac but when i hold cntrl and use the scroll wheel it makes the text bigger. All you need to do i think as i have never used a mac is hold cmd and scroll out. As i say no experience with a mac but this works on pc for me.

thanks @johnessy012 yes that's right I can zoom out on the trackpad too with C$$anonymous$$D + two-finger scroll back. Prob is the zoom-in happens at unexpected times and I'm looking for a way to disable it.

Unfortunately there is no way to disable it using the version of MonoDevelop that is currently shipped with Unity. This was corrected in MonoDevelop 3.0.3 (bug 517), and we are still on 2.8.2.

This really sucks, annoys me all the time. My brain is now trained to not scroll and cmd+tab at the same time, but now I don't do this in other apps too... lol

There are some ways to upgrade to the last version of MonoDevelop, though.

Yes, @johnessy012 is correct. Also, to reset the zoom level to its default value, you can press Cmd-0.

thanks people for the responses. I already know how to zoom the text in and out. I want to know how to disable this feature completely. I submitted an update for the question so it's clearer what answer I'm looking for. Cheers.
