Improvements in unity 3.5 in iOS optimization?

Hello,

Anyone knows if unity 3.5 has any performance optimizations regarding builds on iPad?

Thank you,

If there are then only under the hood ones, no direct ones, beside the new PVS etc naturally. Multithreaded renderer does not exist and wouldn't be an enhancement on mobiles anyway until all devices are 4 cores and have math coprocessors (unlike NVIDIA Tegra2 / 3 which lack it and need to use additional cores to do performant realtime animation)

Mobiles got their upgrade round with 3.4 where animation became multithreaded among other things

Is there anything specific you are looking for?

Hello, Thank you for the answer. I weren't looking for anything specific, only I am working on a project, which on an iPad 2 it works ok, with 30 FPS. Although if I make a build on an iPad 1 the FPS will be very low, (10 - 15), and I was wondering if there are some new settings that can be changed in order to raise the FPS on an iPad1 too. But I guess the problem might not be with Unity.

10fps on ipad 1 sounds a lot like you're game is fillrate limited as thats the major difference between ipad1 and ipad2. the solution to this problem then would be to not use transparent materials but using opaque and geometry that really removes the areas from drawing (ragespline is a simple way to go there if the content allows it and if we talk about 2D)
