Way to use android Intents?

Is there a built in way to use android intents? For instance if I want to use an intent to capture a photo or select an image from the gallery?

Is a custom plugin the only way to do this?

Looks like it. I'm trying to write one but can't get it working, and it seems almost impossible to get enough help to fix it. I'll let you know when I succeed.

all the images together take 2mb, is this a size where an OO$$anonymous$$ error could occur?
