Alpha at 0.5 - full black screen

Hello! First post here.

I am using the Unity animator to to bring a black image onto the screen. Within 2 seconds, the alpha goes from 0 to 1. However, at 0:01 the screen is full black already and I have no idea why this happens.

Depending on the shader, .5 is in fact the "full" value. This is because it's using "combine double", which allows for overbrightening. It's even possible to use "combine quad", in which case .25 is the "full" value, but that's rare.

Sounds to me like just increasing the time it takes for it to go from alpha 0 to alpha 1 by double(in the case of 'combine double' shaders) or by 4 times (in the case of 'combine quad' shaders). Sounds like it is a 'combine double' shader.

The alternative is that the curve in the animation editor spikes the frame after, try turning the key types to linear.
