Starter Lerpz Tutorial Issues

Hello,

I have just begun using Unity and I am using the latest regular version, and when I load the Unity tutorial, I can't seem to find the transporter pad, all I see is the fence. I had imported everything and let it upgrade the project. Anyone know of something I did wrong or where the transporter pad should be? When I play the game, I see the city. Here are some screen shots:

What I see when trying to look for transporter, this is, the fence.

This is suppose to be the player.

This last one is what I see when I play the game, but I don't see that in the scene view.

Thanks!

Find the object in the Heirarchy, click on it, then click in the editor window, then press the 'F' key to focus on the object.

I did. I selected Lerpz, which I renamed to "Player." I then hover over the editor view and click the "F" key. I located Lerpz, but I don't see the platform to put it on. All I see is the yellow fence.

In the Hierarchy, search for "firstPlatform". That is where you need to place Lerpz.

I did, I found the firstPlatform, but I can't seem to get to it. When I try to zoom in on it using the mouse wheel, it goes away. Is there a faster way to get to the platform?
