Question by ionside · Apr 24, 2012 at 08:20 AM · animationtriggercrossfade

animation.CrossFade on TriggerExit not crossfading

I have a character reacting to a trigger event. When the trigger is no longer active I'd like to CrossFade back to idle.

So to iterate; directly playing to "squint" is fine, but I'd like it to cross fade back to "idle". Currently it's just cutting back to "idle".

I have this at the moment:

 private var torchOnFace : boolean = false;

 function OnTriggerStay(Collider){

     if(torchOnFace == false){
         animation.Play ("squint");
         torchOnFace = true;
     }

 }

 function OnTriggerExit(Collider){
     if(torchOnFace == true){
         animation.CrossFade ("idle");
         torchOnFace = false;

     }
 }

Also, I'm very open to better code practices too. :)

animation["squint"] is animation finish play, no cross fade.

animation["squint"].wrapMode = WrapMode.Loop; or animation["squint"].wrapMode = WrapMode.ClampForever;

animation["squint"].wrap$$anonymous$$ode = Wrap$$anonymous$$ode.Loop;

or

animation["squint"].wrap$$anonymous$$ode = Wrap$$anonymous$$ode.ClampForever;

That's it, I needed to set it to ClampForever. Thankyou!
