O$$anonymous$$. Are you using a database to store your high score?

you can save your score first time using PlayerPrefs.SetInt() function, once you get more score than the previous score overwrite the value with the new one ... simple as that :)

A simple example,

 var score:int;

 void SaveHighScore()
 {
   if(score > PlayerPrefs.GetInt("highscore"))
   {
        PlayerPrefs.SetInt("highscore",score);
   }
 }

If your score is float use SetFloat and GetFloat instead.

 if( !PlayerPrefs.HasKey( "Highscore" ) )
 {
     PlayerPrefs.SetInt( "Highscore", score );
 }
 else
 {
     if( score > PlayerPrefs.GetInt( "Highscore" ) )
     {
         PlayerPrefs.SetInt( "Highscore", score );
     }
 }

Maybe?
