Limiting a translation to a Camera's POV (ortho)

Hi, Sorry if this is a stupid question I'm pretty new, but is there a way to keep my player from going outside of the camera's view? I have it set up to stop at a certain amount of space, using the clamp. However when I change the resolution to my game, it goes off the scree cause it is too small or doesn't touch the edges like I want because it is too large. I was hopeing to be able to find a way that no matter the resolution it will stay within POV. (I am currently using the Walker Brothers 2d Space Shooter guide as a reference to help keep me on track, I am just trying to make my own improvements to it). Thanks for any help you can provide.
