improving my spawn system

hi I'v used this spawn system in a few basic projects basically it picks the nearest spawn point to the player (any object in the scene with the tag "spawnpoint") and then places a prefab their (of my monster etc))

I'm wanting to make it a bit more sophisticated as when your not moving the "monster" always come from the same nearest spawn point.

so can anyone help me customise my script to pick the nearest then the second nearest spawn point (or any suggestion to make it a little less predicable)

any help appreciated
