How to import animation from Blender to Unity?

Hi!

I imported an object with IPO curve animation from Blender to Unity, but it seems that I cant find the animations in the Inspector. Is there any way to import animation from Bledner to Unity?

Thanks!

If you would like Unity to import animations(rigged armature animations) from blender(2.49 for now), you must create ACTIONS, and not rely on IPO curves. Of course your IPO curves are contained within ACTIONS, but Unity3D seems to prefer the ACTIONS, and not the native IPO curves.

ALSO, you might want to changed the name of this question to the proper spelling of "Blender", not "Bledner", might get you some additional answers :-)

this is just a little tip that i have noticed while working with blender and unity. Unity really handles blender animations best if they are all contained in one main action, and then use unity to manually split the animations on import. $$anonymous$$aybe i was just doing something wrong earlier, but i could not get animations to work when they were in there separate actions. As soon as i put them all in one action and then used unity to split them, they all worked perfectly. Just an observation that i have had, i hope it helps.

I know this is Unity answers, not Blender answers, but how do you make an action? In action editor, I have an Object, then a IPO curve, and then my scale X, Y, and Z. How do I make that an action or importable to Unity? When I import my .blend into, I don't have any animation clips.

Thank you!
