My Missiles are Sideways

how do you change the forward direction of a game object? even the default unity ones, they have a pre-set orientation i can't figure out how to change. i need to rotate my objects "forward" direction (90 up) but i can't.

in this instance forward is dictated by the code: transform.forward*Speed*Time.deltaTime;

PLEASE don't tell me to use an empty object, I'm having collision problems with them :/

By far the simplest and best thing is just rotate it in your 3D app. Even if it's not "pointing forward" in your 3D app afterwards, who cares, the only thing that matters is how it appears in Unity.
