Terrain imported trees are too large.

For some reason the trees that I have created (By unity) are too large when they are drawn by the terrain. Rescaling the original tree for some reason wont effect the terrain trees size.

What do I do?

i'm having the same issue, but my trees also appear sideways..... they're too big and are laying on the terrain......
