Question by jeffadkins51 · Jul 17, 2012 at 07:13 AM · aim

"Drunken aim" for FPS

I just wanted to make the player's camera have a kind of swerve when he moves his pistol to make it a bit more realistic. I'm a beginner so I'm not really sure on how to go about doing this :S Thanks in advance!

You could - and that's the only time when it's acceptable I$$anonymous$$O - put a Lerp/Slerp on the camera's movement.

...I'm asking how to do it, not if its possible. And I'm a beginner, so whatever a Lerp is, I've never heard of it.

well, it depends on the script you're using, and how its movement is defined.. you could post the script

If you don't know what Lerp is, and you're trying to make an FPS, I'd suggest you go back to the books first. Go to www.unity3dstudent.com and do the short video courses on scripting there. Also I'd suggest using Google as well, ins$$anonymous$$d of clai$$anonymous$$g 'you have never heard of it'

you could try animation on the camera, with slight rotation movement set how you want, you said you were a begginer so i found this vid on youtube, easier then explaining how animations work - good luck
