Raycasting skinned mesh

Hi,

I have several objects with colliders attached to some of my character bones so that I can detect when he's been shot to hand, head etc.

The problem I have is that for some reasons sometimes the raycast doesn't detect passing through a collider although judging from debug draw line it obviously intersects it.

I suspect it has something to do with the collider object being linked to animated skinned mesh but I just can't make it work all the time :(

Anyone has any ideas why is this happening?
