avatar parts, kinect + zigfu

Hi-i am new to unity + zigfu/working with Blender model as avatar with skelton/all good! --my model is composed of 3 meshes, 2 are large spherical "eyes" that bind to the rig and thus move with model nicely. these 2 meshes import as "children" of my model in the hierarchy--i try to animate them to look at the camera as the model moves around (tried with a .js script, then as a test tried animation clips)--no result/no error. any ideas or tips? Thanks!!

[Edit DaveA] perhaps my .js is incorrect/would really appreciate yr tips...but i think that within the kinect/zigfu 'zdk'package that i am using i cannot get any effects ADDED to my avatar (the model i made in blender)--so the model loads in fine + continues to animate as expected via the kinect, but adding the script to the eyeball components of the model has absolutely no effect/nor error message. so i tried animating them, as a teste (simple rotation loop) in the animation panel of unity/nothing happens.

Dave--thanks for your reply(ies)__i think i figured this out/the script actually had to go on the bones of the armature, not on the mesh...

Are you asking how to get the eyes to follow a target, such as the camera?

Can you post your eyeball code? How are the eyes added to the model? Are they parented off the skeleton (in the head)? I have done what you are describing and not had problems...

So I see this post is a bit old, but if you haven't had a chance to check out Mechanim, they deal with this very thing. Near the last 20% of this tutorial there is a section detailing how to have the robot's head point at an external object in the world while still animating:

I imagine you've got it solved by now, but for anyone else searching for this info, the mechanim tutorial is a good resource
