Accessing inspector reference's parent

Hello everyone,

I have an object which as a script attached to. The script accepts a reference to another script in the inspector, so I can drag my second script and drop it into the inspector. So far, so good.

The thing I would like to know is if there is a way other than using GameObject.Find() to retrieve the GameObject that is holding the reference. Allow me to make an example:

public class Wave : MonoBehavior { public Enemy enemy_; // This is the script that I drag-drop in the inspector }

public class Enemy : MonoBehavior { private Wave reference_holder_;

 void Start() {
     // I would like to be able to retrieve the script's instance which holds a
     // reference to 'this', if possible, without using GameObject.Find()
 }

}

I don't want to use GameObject.Find() because there is going to be many Wave object, each with a unique name. It would be troublesome (and a very ugly hack) to, say, determines the Wave name from the Enemy's name.

One why that would work but wouldn't be really good either in my opinion, would be to iterate over all the objects with a tag "Wave" and determine which holds the reference to 'this'.

Thanks in advance, if there is anything else, I'd be glad to elaborate.
