Testing Unity Web Player and browser communication

Hello, I am developing a website which will communicate my Unity web player. I have found the link and followed that. http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/UnityWebPlayerandbrowsercommunication.html

but i do not know how can i test it? should i have to build my game as web player always and send the parameters from web?

any help will be appreciative.
