Dumb Question, Please help

I am makeing a game now that is alot like block / brick breaker, I have the ball bouncing but i cant get it to move on angles when I move the paddle side to side .I am new at scripting So If you have a simple ball code for a square room that can start out on angle upon start I would be thankfull ty.

Basically you just change the direction of the ball so it's travelling away from the centre of the paddle when it fires. Try scripting something that will get the angle between the ball and the paddle centre, halve that (for finer control) and send the ball in that direction.

Ty but i don't know how to do that yet just started yesterday .Do you have a simple script ?
