Unity scrubbing triangles from blender mesh

Hi,

When i import a blend scene / mesh into unity, it works great. I see the mesh and all is good. However when i double click on that mesh to open in blender (or manually open it in blender -after- importing it to unity there are no triangles in the mesh. Then when i look back in unity the mesh's triangles are gone there too.

Anyone know what the problem is? (unity 3.5.2 & blender 2.5)

That is very odd. I've never seen Unity edit the original source file before. You're not doing anything else between importing it to Unity and manually opening it in Blender?

No. It is really strange.

Weird.

O$$anonymous$$, just to break it down further, for absolute clarity:

  • you save a file in Blender

  • the saved file is brought into your Unity project (or you saved your Blender file in your Unity project)

  • you see the 3D object in Unity

  • you close down Blender, and then you open it again to that Blender file

  • when you open it, the mesh is completely gone, but the object reference still remains

  • when you go back to Unity, the same thing has happened there
