Colour match type game or like simon says game

Hello..

Im trying to create a mini game.

A colour match type game, example: match the colour of an object to match the colour of the level door so the door will open.Here's what I had in mind:

1. Player step into the level and find a switch that had a different type of colour.
2. Player need to cycle the colour on the switch to match the colour same as the door colour to progress the level

can anyone direct me to the right direction to create the game, because in teory I know how it would work but in the code side I dont know where to start.

What I would like to know is: 1. How to cycle colour of and object 2. How to "if the color of all the switch is same as the door = door open"
